For me, without spoiling anything, S/V is at its best when it gets increasingly tangled into the wigs and the explosions and stuff -- it is definitely better when the relationship is incorporated into the show's predominant themes and metaphors. Also, I love Syd, unabashedly, so part of my varying levels of affection for Vaughn and S/V are that I like her to have her miniscule amounts of happiness.
