hmm

My life is a series of small accomplishments.

This last week:

Lots of reading. There are comments (they're too short and random to be reviews, really) over at [livejournal.com profile] shinybookses for A Walk in the Woods; The Salon.com Reader's Guide to Contemperary Authors; The Dreyfus Affair; The Code Book; Bending the Landscape: Science Fiction; The Fellowship of the Ring; and the Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.

Wrote the first 3000 words of the Sports Night story. Not any sort of length for most people, but longer already than anything I've written in months and months.

Lots of baby-sitting. Supposedly, I might start getting paid for it (very, very, very cheaply) soon if my mother goes back to work, but I'm not holding my breath.

I switched over to S2 on livejournal to try it out for a while (despite everyone and their mother's whining on it). I do miss my beautiful Alan Cumming a great deal, but I'm a sucker for novelty, too, so we'll see. It's a set color scheme, but I tried to get one that was reasonable attractive and readable, though there might still be troubles with font size or comment posting.

Tonight I made brownies. Brownies make everything better.

ETA: my mood icons are exactly the same for "hot" and "cold"! Crazy.

I put the Dreyfuss Affair on reservation at the library for me, thanks to your review =)

Woo! Numfar, do the Dance of More Erica Fic! 3000+ words of SportsNight sounds fantastic to me. *cheers you on*

Hee. I'm at the point in writing where I'm tired of the whole thing and convinced every other word is stupid, so, yay, cheering, even if I am not sure it is earned.

Brownies do, indeed, make everything better.

If only the world could discover that one lesson, it would be a much more pleasant place to live.

Indeed. Brownies and sleep are the keys to world piece. High rates of homoeroticism would probably help, too.
