Grace Polk/Amy Abbott (Joan of Arcadia/Everwood)

Grace's new roommate makes her want to throw up.
It's been two weeks, and Grace isn't sure how she's kept sane this long. She complains to Luke in emails and IMs about how utterly stupid and shallow this girl is, and instead of saying anything helpful, he tells her to wait it out and be patient and give it a chance. This ticks Grace off even more.
Amy's side of the room is pink. Pink everywhere. Her bulletin board is covered with pictures of snow and eighty million people, all of whom Amy apparently knows the entire life story of. She talks all the time about her dad the country doctor and her mom the mayor and all her ex-boyfriends. She's on the phone all the time. She wears matching sweater sets and mini-skirts.
Grace mostly tries to ignore her, like not acknowledging her will somehow negate her existence entirely. She lies on her bed and does her class reading while Amy sits at her desk and counts out her daily hundred strokes to her hair.
"I'm not a lesbian," Amy says suddenly, setting down her hairbrush.
"You want a medal or something?" Grace turns the page of her book with a snap.
"It's just -- I mean, I think you're a neat person and everything. It's just that I'm not like that. It's nothing personal or anything--"
Grace looks up to stare at her. "Dude. Abbott. I'm not after your bod, all right? Believe me, you are *not* my type."
Amy blushes and stumbles through an apology -- she didn't mean anything -- but she doesn't look completely convinced. Grace plots to kill her in her sleep.
