comet the wonder horse!

So my entire family was obsessed with "The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr." when it was actually on air in the early 90s -- which is long enough that I don't really remember anything about it except us being obsessed. But my parents bought the dvds the day they came out, and my sister and I have been watching a few episodes now. And -- okay, yes, the cheesiness and awesomeness and B-movieness of it all I was expecting, but hey! That was totally John Pyper-Ferguson as a guest star in a bunch of them! JOHN OXENBERGER, what are you doing here???

In conclusion, Bruce Campbell is sort of awesome. Woot.

(My icon is appropriate not only because it is a Wild West show, but also because the episode we just watched guest starred William Russ, who also played Molly Parker's father on Deadwood. It all comes around!)

EDITED TO ADD: OMIGOD AND SOCRATES IS ABEL KOONTZ. MY MIND IS BLOWN.

OMG! Socrates was Abel Koontz!

There's a crossover waiting to happen. The rise and fall of the Koontz family.

I remember watching Brisco County before X-Files every week. Those were heady days.

Imagine my surprise when the Olympics bought the theme song to use during coverage of the Games!

Heeeeee, really? I suppose it is a very arresting and iconic theme.
