"A freak lighting accident?"

My question for today is this: how come I seem to be having my exciting due South renaissance at the same time all my original dS people seem to be drifting away to have their first batch of love with their new fandoms? It seems a little unfair! When I'm obsessed with the Mountie and the Rays, everyone I love should be too!

(This is not to imply I do not appreciate and love all you new dS people who are taking up the slack, of course, because I do.)

I had tried the pilot to Supernatural a couple of months ago, but I only got 10 or 15 minutes in before I got bored and turned it off. Still, though, I thought I would give it another try, since so many people seem to be so into it, so yesterday I started to download a torrent of the first ten episodes. Unfortunately, it seems to be stuck permanently on 22% (it anticipates another 1100 hours before it's done). Perhaps this is a sign it's just not meant to be.

It's weird, I can get into some o fthe Supernatural fic (well, Maygra's *g*) but the show is too scary or too weird and I've only made it through the CKR ep so far. *G*
