More thoughts from me!

Item one: Little Miss Sunshine = actually pretty adorable. Thumbs up.

Item two: the more I see of Hugh Laurie in British stuff, the more mindblowing I find it that he somehow became a witty cynical sex symbol. Wha?

Item three: still watching season 3 SG-1. So far I have learned that the principle signs of schizophrenia are pale make-up, dark circles under your eyes, and looking really sweaty, and also that I continue to be surprised by just how appealing I find Sam/Jack. I don't know why! I just do! I've heard lots of people say TPTB screwed the ship over royally in later seasons, but fortunately I have not had to deal with that, so whatever. Everything I have seen them in, it makes me go Awww. (Long-haired alternate reality Sam carries their wedding picture around with her!)

Item four: I have sold every single possible book in my collection to the used bookstore downtown for petty cash. All that is left is selling body parts, I guess. Plasma, I hear good things about you.

Item five: You know, seriously, I think Farscape might be my favorite show in the history of ever. Basically it is the best thing ever, and I could not love it more, I don't think. MY LOVE IS SO PURE YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. Bweeeeeeeeeee.

WORD. Though S&A is currently giving it a run for its money in my heart, but that is cheating, because that show is basically like someone somehow put my soul on TV. But Farscape. FARSCAPE. I don't think I'll ever love a show like I love that one.

It is FARSCAPE. It is everything you could ever want in a show, all packed up into one glorious perverted package.

I grew up watching Hugh Laurie, so him as any kind of sex symbol is weird. It's like when people tell you your dad is hot.

*snicker*

Hahaha, Blackadder and Jeeves and Wooster? He has the most wonderful range of completely dumbfounded expressions, and this scarily vacant look in his eyes. House makes me miss that, what with him being all growly and american, and I think a lot of British viewers expected him to be completely goofy *g*

Whenever they mock him on QI, it's absolutely hilarious.

I'm with you on both of these. :-)

I quite like LMS even though it was the film we were watching when I had the stroke on Christmas Day. *g* At some point I'm going to have to watch it again, just to clear it of any associations...

Aw, man. I hope you manage to get it free of that!

Yeah, the Hugh Laurie thing is amusing. But I've never been a fan of his British comedy--my Britcom tastes have always tended towards dry wit more than goofy hijinks, so things like Blackadder and Mr. Bean make me want to beat my head on things in annoyance. So I tend to avoid his non-House stuff.

I've heard good things about Jeeves and Wooster and Bit of Fry and Laurie, but apparently it requires being in the exact right mood.

On Item two:

I know. How did he morph from chinless, gormless half-wit George to, y'know, House?! Who is none of those things, at all, at all. I spent all of season one with my jaw loose, in awe of his actorly skills and sudden, inexplicable hotness. I mean, it's George. Except SO NOT.

On Item three: just don't do what I did, which was to turn around and spend most of the cash restocking said shelves with books, not food. Unless that was your evil intent all along, of course.

Food is TOTALLY my goal. Mmmmm food.
