13/3/03 16:05It's snowing again.
I think this winter is giving me actual snow issues. It astonishes how fast I -- even growing up in the snow-deprived Northwest -- became first unimpressed and then actively hateful to the snow.
But there's so much of it! And it's not going to ever stop! Waaaaah!

One of the things about this semester that's surprising me is how important sleep has suddenly become -- ever since I got sick, I think. I mean, sleep was always important (as shown by how much I whined about it), but lately it seems more so. If for no other reason, then simply because I'll choose sleep over any other option. Last night, I took a nap, and I thought I'd get up later and maybe chat for a little bit, work on the Simon + River scene I was mulling, maybe even do a little reading. Instead I just slept through till this afternoon. Which was nice, of course, but ... weird.
minstrelia (who really has to accept that we all say "Minstrailya") and I stopped at the library yesterday after History of English Language. I picked up a couple of books that I have no time to read, and we checked out "The Apartment", which neither of us had ever seen. We assumed, based on Jack Lemmon, Shirley Maclaine, Billy Wilder, and the misleading copy on the back of the box, that this would be a lighthearted comedy. Us = stupid. It was really excellent anyway, though (even if the beginning was quite slow).
Goals for the rest to day include: reading for language and gender and history of english; studying of english exam and response journal; working on paper for french; and working on aforementioned Simon + River scene.
First I will finish eating my Cheez-it lunch, however.
