five things for you

I have been really slow and lazy about my Fringe watching - I was enjoying the beginning of season 2, but it wasn't grabbing me in any particular way that meant I had to watch more, now, please. But now I am at the second half of the season and it is a different story. I enjoyed "Johari Window" and "What Lies Below" as solid episodes, and then "The Bishop Revival" was kind of fun - but now I just finished "Jacksonville" and "Peter" and holy crap, what a 1-2 punch that was. So, yes! I have reached the MORE NOW MORE phase at last, I suspect.
This picture makes me happy in mypants soul. I need to rewatch the movie. And then all of the original series. SHATNER AND NIMOY. I LOVE THOSE BITCHES SO MUCH. *single tear*
Seriously, if you have not heard me drunkenly talk about William shatner, you have not seen the true depths of my earnestness.
A quote, from Mary Roach's Packing for Mars, p. 57:
I once met a man who told me that after landing in Christchurch, New Zealand, after a winter at the South Pole research station, he and his companions spent a couple days just wandering around staring in awe at flowers and trees. At one point, one of them spotted a woman pushing a stroller. "A baby!" he shouted, and they all rushed across the street to see. The woman turned the stroller and ran.
