Clark/Lex. Written in Jess's Indie!Clarkverse.
It was raining when they finally got out of the club.
Clark had been sitting around with the rest of the band, talking and laughing as they drank their free beer. Lex had sat off to the side, smiling into his imported ale as he watched him.
It was an hour or so before Clark caught his eye, his expression turning sheepish, and then playful. He took a last drink and stood up, making his excuses to the others, before coming over to Lex's chair.
"You ready to go?" Clark said, but he had Lex's hand in his and was pulling him along before Lex had answered.
"What's the rush?" Lex said, following him along.
Clark shrugged. "No reason."
Outside the club, it was pouring; Clark stopped on the sidewalk and placed his cap carefully on Lex's head. He smiled down, and Lex reached for Clark's glasses.
Clark didn't need hints. His hair was already wet as Lex laced his fingers through it and held him close.
"You're getting soaked," Lex said, moving away to look at him. Clark wasn't even wearing a jacket, just a faded t-shirt and a long-sleeved shirt underneath.
"I don't mind," Clark said, pulling Lex closer again.
"I do," Lex said, and he pushed him towards the phonebooth behind them.
They were still kissing as Lex pressed Clark into the receiver. "Ow," said Clark absently, in a voice of habit, and he carefully turned them in the small space.
"You were hot up there tonight," Lex said, closing his eyes as Clark turned his attention to his neck.
"Yeah?" Clark sounded happy.
"I like it when you come out of your shell. Let people see you." He tilted his head back, running his hand to the back of Clark's neck. "You being confident."
"It's nice," Clark muttered, kissing along Lex's jaw and grinding against him. "Like while I'm up there I can do whatever, and it's okay."
Lex moved his head to catch Clark's mouth for another kiss.
After a moment, Clark pulled away, grinning. "I liked seeing you in the audience, too," he said, and he kissed Lex again.
