schmerica: (alan cumming)
So I haven't managed yet how to get all my songs over from the old sucky computer to the shiny new one -- leaving, as you can imagine, a small music-shaped hole in my life. Anyone want to take pity on a girl and do the "send one song on over via yousendit.com" thing? You can send it on to schmerica@gmail.com, and I'll think you're the bee's knees.

The full day one of WEEK OF LEISURE seems to be proceeding nicely. So far, lounging and computer and shower; later, I think, Invader Zim watching, cooking, and an exciting and challenging trip the six blocks to the Plaid Pantry to obtain more Coke supplies.
schmerica: (zooey deschanel)
I curled up on the couch and watched Invader Zim for most of the afternoon. It's getting late, though, so I just headed into the kitchen to start thinking about making dinner. I was thinking about what food is still in the house, and I suddenly realized exactly what I was having a craving for, and that we had all the ingredients. So I got out all my cookbooks and started looking for the recipe and then realized -- I don't own the cookbook with it in it. It's Supper Onion Pie from Nigella Lawson's How to Be a Domestic Goddess which is actually a book I've read and tried recipes from, but not bought.

Quick google search doesn't bring it up online, either. Pooey!

Hmmph. Back to scratch for dinner.

So, yes, I have given in to the lure of the Invader Zim icons. I excuse to myself, though, with the explanation that I really do *need* a cooking icon, and this one will work perfectly.

All of you who sent me music earlier today -- thank you very very much! I really appreciate it. Between those, rereading all of [livejournal.com profile] mosca's mp3 rec entries, and scrounging through all of [livejournal.com profile] fox1013's 90s crap, the music shaped hole is filling up nicely.

And, just to confirm -- LJ is acting a little wacky, yeah? It's sending me most of my comments, but keeping just enough to make me confused. Hmm.
