schmerica: (princess bride)
The following are all livejournal comments I have had directed to me personally on April 28, 2005.

1. RAY IS NOT A PANDA-SOUL SUCKING VAMPIRE! HE IS NOT! ([livejournal.com profile] girl_clone)

2. NOT WITH TONGUE, EW, PEARL. HE IS DEAD HELLO. ([livejournal.com profile] makesmewannadie)

3. You are a sick, sick bunny, despite your cuteness! ([livejournal.com profile] _aerye_)

4. CKR: Definitely not that pretty. ([livejournal.com profile] mlyn)

Please note that these do not include anything but what I received yesterday (not a particularly active day), nor do they included any AIM or yahoo!messenger conversations; thus, these are a very limited example. (I had an AIM conversation with Nifra this evening, for example, that is perhaps the funniest and flat-out craziest story I have ever had her tell me; if I had thought ahead to save the transcript of that, that could immensely tip the scales.)

Still, though. I am left with the lasting question: does this craziness come from me? Or do I just hang out with crazy people?

Either way, though, I cannot argue with the results. Heeeeee. Livejournal, I love you.

Okay, so I did that "what does your birthdate mean?" meme that's going around? And frankly, a little bit creeped out.

Because, I mean-- )

Okay, so thinking on a point [livejournal.com profile] dsudis made months and months ago about extrapolating from canon -- who is smarter than me and remembers the different instances where we see the characters drinking?

So far what I remember is:

a) Fraser canonically says he doesn't drink
b) Ray Kowalski mentions martinis in the come-ons in BDtH, but I'm almost sure we never actually see him drinking or having drank (see the Despondency in Ladies Man)
c) Ray Vecchio I'm pretty sure we see on more than one occasion, but the only one I remember now is the wine in Juliet is Bleeding.
d) Frannie I am drawing a total blank, other than her mentioning asking Fraser out for drinks in The Deal.
e) Thatcher is definitely visibly tipsy in Odds, and I think we may see her with wine on other occasions, but I wouldn't swear it.
f) Stella and Orsini's champagne explodes in Strange Bedfellows.

Otherwise the only thing else I remember is that Welsh's and Vecchio's fathers were both either explicitly stated or strongly implied to be alcoholics.

So who has a tighter grasp of canon than me, hmm?

[livejournal.com profile] lalejandra wrote young RayK/Stella fic, and it's awesome, and it's all mine! YAY.
