The first half of The Lady Eve makes such a perfect due South Fraser/Kowalski AU in my head that I am practically cackling with glee. Fraser as Henry Fonda! Ray as Barbara Stanwyck! Hell, Dief can be the snake while we're at it -- why not, after all?

I'm not sure the second half works so well, but I'm about to rewatch it anyway, so we'll see. (Edited to add: The main problem with the second isn't even that it comes off as vaguely mean-spirited -- I think they manage that pretty well in the movie -- but that the climax really depends so heavily really uncomfortable sexual politics. 1940s, bah.)

Okay, so I only just started the Old 97's DVD, but I have to say, the editing choices are kind of cracking me a little so far. It's EXTREME CLOSE-UP CITY. I mean, Rhett Miller is way cute and all, but I'm not sure I needed this close a relationship with his pores, you know?

They're playing Rollerskate Skinny, now. Ray Kowalski song of my HEART.

(Min, what happened to your idea for all the RayK-Old 97's drabbles? You should totally do that.)

Omigosh, even Meg Cabot's weblog is talking about the whole Tori Spelling/Dean McDermott thing!

Ahahahahaha, I cannot get over TURNBULL being part of mainstream celebrity gossip. Awesome.
