So, SGA! Um, I thought it kind of sucked, although there were a lot of really cute moments. Still better than Siege III, though! (Also, oh, Torri Higginson, honey. I love you already, but really: you don't have to try so incredibly hard!)

Comics -- I've just began Young Justice, and so far it's really not clicking with me at all. Wacky hijinks are all good and well, but I get bored super quickly if it feels like the characters aren't being taken seriously. That's sort of the reason I could never get into the Justice League cartoon when Livia was pimping it, even though it was an entertaining show -- I just need to feel like the characters are real, fully formed people, and I can't do that when the focus is so far elsewhere.

Is there anything better than AIM conversations where you mention a fic idea to your partner and it proceeds to eat the poor girl's brain right in front of you? I THINK NOT.

Two small portions of chat from last night:

[livejournal.com profile] ficbyzee: *dies* okay, I was telling [livejournal.com profile] thete1 that you'd been reading comics, and liked Roy--
[livejournal.com profile] ficbyzee: 'See, she should be into Bruce. He's so FRASERY'
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: ........
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: Oh, Te.
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: That's a comparison I would never have come up with a million gazillion years.
[livejournal.com profile] ficbyzee: I am giggling. a lot.
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: I think that is just a sign that Te's Fraser is several degrees more fucked up than mine!
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: and by "degrees" I mean "miles".

[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: I am trying to pace myself with what I read, since there is so much I haven't gotten to in the comics, but. Uh. ROYS! ARROWS! *love = searching for fic*
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: ...Roy is not plural.
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: At least not in any comics I have read yet.
[livejournal.com profile] thete1: *dies*
[livejournal.com profile] thete1: I fully believe that, somewhere in the Golden Age, there exists an issue of *something* with Multiroy.
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: I am willing to believe just about anything exists in comics somewhere!

Things about today that are great!

1) MY SHOWER WORKS AGAIN. Frabjous day! Calloo, callay!

2) ZEE GOT US TICKETS TO SEE SLEATER-KINNEY IN PORTLAND NEXT MONTH. SQUEE.

3) Hahahaha, Superman/Batman for the win! It is both really gay and very entertaining -- cool.

4) Now I am watching the little mini-documentary on the Peacekeeper Wars dvd about the making of the miniseries. Oh, FARSCAPE. <3<3<3 (I had totally never seen the actor who plays D'Argo out of make-up before. WEIRD.)

5) Clean dishes! Garbage is out! Now I just need to do laundry and everything will be non-gross.

Okay, so I just finished reading Superman/Batman 14-18, and -- MAN.

Hahahahaha, I'm reading Gotham Knights now, and I just got to this this page, and. Oh, man, okay, that last panel? With the nose in the hair and the closed eyes and the "you're never alone" speech and everything, all together? My first thought is "...That's just not right." My second action is to share that opinion with both [livejournal.com profile] thete1 and [livejournal.com profile] ficbyzee -- which gets me one response along the lines of "omg, I KNOW!!!" and one along the lines of "...that's a SWEET panel! Shut up!!!"

Look, it's not my fault I have a dirty mind, okay?

Heeeee. OH COMICS. <3<3<3

(I know some of you are probably on board with [livejournal.com profile] fox1013 with totally judging me for my descent into comics madness, but, well. Fox is crazy about Big Brother, dude. She has no moral high ground! Go judge her instead! *runs away*)
