schmerica: (ollie is a man of tact)
Yesterday I ventured out into Portland to see my beloved [livejournal.com profile] speshope. It was literally the first time we had seen each other in months. MONTHS! Besides our normal dorky escapades, we had a mini-David Tennant marathon, consisting of all of Casanova and the first episode of Blackpool. Spes failed to give me an adequate explanation for either the question of "How is he SO CUTE?" or "Why can't I have one of my own?" despite the fact I asked her each of them a good thousand times during the afternoon.

Really, the only downside of the afternoon is that my cute new sandals decided to betray me. I'd been walking on them fine for the last week, but somewhere in the four or five blocks between Spes's house and the McMenamin's and Safeway, they decided it was time for blisters and cuts. Sigh. The pain just makes the good stuff sweeter? I guess?

Peter O'Toole was also in Casanova, and okay, the thing about Peter O'Toole is that even though he is really old now, he is one of those guys where you can see exactly how hot he *used* to be. His eyes, you guys. Man. (During the scenes where he is taunting Rose Byrne, I was all "....Yeeeeeah, I'd still do him.")

So I am planning on reading Deathly Hallows eventually, but whether the eventually will be in the next few weeks or in, like, a year pretty much depends on how much work I would have to invest to get a copy. I mean, I don't care enough to pay for it (see: I just mistyped it as Deadly Hallows and had to redo it), and the library holds are in the hundreds, if not thousands. When Half-Blood Prince came out, I managed to read it after a few days due to internet tricks of dubious legality, but I don't know if that will happen again.

I am using this icon not because anybody has pissed me off, but because it has been way too long since I used it, and it makes me laugh. OH OLLIE.

P.S.: I don't know if you guys know this already? But Fraser has TWO BOYFRIENDS. And he loves them BOTH )

....I kind of love that dude. SSSSSHHH IT'S A SECRET.

I know you guys know I approve of F/K/V just in *general*, and I'm really glad it's taken off the last year or two. Like, any time some one is writing it, I do a little "yay!" just on principle. But it's true, I love it best when it's really all about the Mountie and His Boyfriends. Something about the Rays not even liking each other to start with, but dealing with each other because they both want so badly for *Fraser* to be happy -- and then them bonding somehow through all the jealousy and weirdness and becoming friends through that, and the transformation from F/K + F/V at the same time to really being F/K/V. Hi, happy Pearl kink! (Hahaha, that is like the only emotionally satisfying Ray/Ray for me ever, too! At least with Fraser not dead.)

(Ooh, plus, I am finally getting around to organizing a F/K/V tag. I know I've talked about it besides this!)
