Do you ever go online and one day on your friends list/in the delicious tags/on somebody's rec page/in a community/whatever, there, just sitting there waiting for you is a link to this story, and when you read the description or the summary you're so excited you almost can't stand it, because OMG this is exactly the pairing/genre/cliche you've been dying for, and now you get to read it, YAY-=

--And then the story kind of sucks?

And you're really bummed because not only was that a disappointment, but NOW you're really really craving that pairing/genre/cliche more than they were before, AND you can't even whine about it in your journal, because if you do people will be like "Oh, you're looking for that? Because so-and-so wrote that, here you go! Problem solved!"
