Wow, the computer's been working for, like, three hours in a row now. Score on my part! Supposedly one of my mom's friends is going to try and fix it tomorrow. My mother is bribing him with a homecooked dinner.

I've been on a mad friending frenzy (that's hard to say, by the way) for the last few days. Mostly interesting people that I don't necessarily know from SV. Adding five people at a time, of course, because I am compulsive and need my friends list number to end in a five or a zero. It looks so messy otherwise.

Updated my user interests, too. I miss the "who has the most interests in common with you?" thing, man. And 150 is a strange limit. Anyway, changes include: careful editing of old interests; addition of various shows and pairings I like but am not necessarily fannish about; and fox1013. My pesky heterosexuality's the only thing standing in the way of our true love, man.

I may also be reading Lord of the Rings, something I have been avoiding for, uh, years now. But I am so boooored! I have *nothing* to read (I finished my new book this morning). I need *something* to get me through till the next thing I'm interested in.

So, Tolkien it is, I guess.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] grrleloquence should get online so I can force her to make me a new Chris icon. Silly girl, with her life. Psh.

*blinks* You're so odd.

And man. I wish I wasn't online due to the having of an actual life. (I'm refusing to count my job as life, because, well, that would just make me very very sad).

And yeah, force me to look at pictures of Chris. Go on. Twist my arm.

I like to see it as a sign of my strength of character.

And life = anything that takes you away from your computer and therefore, entertaining me.

*twists your arm*

See, I read the Hobbit years ago, under similar boredom circumstances and I was bored out of my mind. I tend not to have a lot of patience for dreary prose. But, you know. I may be happily surprised.
