tv + intersexuality
17/9/03 09:33The other day, somewhere in between my fandom obsessing and my Anne Fausto-Sterling reading, it occured to me that the only two tv shows I've ever seen deal with intersexuality seriously (that is, not in a "look, hermaphrodite freaks!" way) are Freaks and Geeks and Everwood. Whether it's more of a taboo issue or an invisible one, I couldn't say. Are there more instances like these two?

17/9/03 21:15 (UTC)I suspect it's more an invisible issue than a taboo. Most people, while they might know vaguely of hermaphrodites, probably don't know anything about the range of intersexuality, or how common it (and "correction") is.
