schmericaI thought this episode was a lot stronger than the pilot, which made me happy -- the parts fit together better, more of a story and less explanation, even the annoying bitchy girls were gone!
I still like the mix they have on Joan -- likable some of the time, and annoying as fuck others. Not-doing-weed Boy was adorable, I still like the supporting cast, and I thought the cop parts (though still not as interesting) worked much better. (Although it might not be a good sign if you need God to come in and explain everything for me to get it. Maybe that's just me.)
Also, I laughed very very hard at the anti-climactic exchange. Because I am easy.
