Hmm, so this weekend I finally -- finally -- put aside time to go and watch the Slings & Arrows tape [livejournal.com profile] serrico was kind enough to send me, like, months ago. Only somehow I managed to find what seemed to be an hour or so of Once a Thief and about 20 minutes of General Hospital.

I think the VCR gods hate me.

Anyway, then the sister and I started to watch more of s2 due South, most of which I have still not soon. We got through the Promise and Masks, and -- I dunno. I enjoyed both episodes, but not overly much. I think it had to do with both of them seeming rather plotheavy, and the plot not engaging me that much; my favorite bits of both were definitely more character stuff.

Today I got an outline and 500 words of writing done, much of it on the bus. Apparently tri-met is trying to make up to me the hellish commute of Monday and Tuesday.

I found myself rather randomly cranky this evening, for no real reason. Boo.

Rewind! Rewind!! Rewind to the very beginning of the tape!!!

(I know, it's a sucky thing to send out tapes without rewinding them, but I was doing a *lot* in a fairly short amount of time, so I didn't get around to it. But there IS S&A on that tape!)

Season two of Due South is so, so uneven. Maybe even more than 3. 'Cause there's great stuff like "North" and that one where Fraser & Ray V. are tied to the same bomb-thing - and then episodes of deep, deep pain like the one with the strippers. Oh, my *God.* No amount of Fraser-and-Ray-tied-up can save that one. *shudder*

*squints*

It's possible that exhaustion has rendered me completely stupid. Heh. In any case, yes, I will try again!

*g* If you still have no luck, let me know. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get the taping setup working for me again--one of our VCRs fell victim to a lightning storm a few weeks ago--but...it's Slings and Arrows. Somehow, you *need* to see it.
