MAIL!!!

Oh, mail, I love you for making it worthwhile to leave my room on a day when I don't have classes.

First, there was an envelope from my parents -- nothing exciting, but they sent along my bank statement and my U of O letter, but stamps! Stamps are good, since I can now send afrai's letter, my housing application, and also Keep Democracy Alive and Let My Voice Be Heard. (Um, how much postage do I need for a letter to England, anyway?)

And then! Two different packages from Amazon! The first was the splurge I kind of regretted as soon as I did it, but man, if I was going to spend unneccessary money, this is some nice stuff. $15 dollar Buffy DVDs! The new Discworld novel! And also this book, about which I know nothing except it looked vaguely fascinating and it was on sale for really very cheap. So, uh, hopefully it is good.

And then! Package number two! My darlingest lynnmonster bought me a book! For no reason at all! *hugs Kelly Link stories close to chest*

Um, I shall go off and read for a bit now. Yay books!

for a regular letter? 80 cents.

If it's a letter that would take 37 cents for mailing in the US, then it's 80 cents to the UK.
