It occurs to me I probably haven't ever mentioned this, but if you have my 813 address, that's my home address, where I live with my parents. Who, obviously, know nothing about slash or fandom or anything, and are more or less convinced that all online people are crazy stalkers. With all that in mind, it's really uncomfortable for me to get mail addressed to Pearl-o, or any derivation thereof. It makes me kind of really paranoid.

Why is it that people who know your home address don't know your real name? Are you just giving it out to randomites to whom you don't even feel comfortable telling your actual name? Because that's weird.

Um, no, actually. Anyone who has that address does have access to my full name. I assume it was either a matter of knowing my real name and feeling still feeling more comfortable with my pseudonym, or knowing my real name and having forgot it and just copying from the return address on the Christmas I sent, where the name was hard to read.
