So today during our Weekend Fun Time, [livejournal.com profile] speshope and I watched the last episode of House, about which -- well, yes, Cameron is totally crazy and makes me cringe for her, but honestly, I think I'm more in the camp of "both of them are really screwed up and even more screwed up in conjunction with each other" than putting it all on her. Their relationship is really kind of fascinating in an "omigod, giant trainwreck" sort of way.

But! After that, Spes went on to show me the first three episodes of Numb3rs. Which, oh my lord, people, I immediately proceeded to have the same reaction as I'm sure a good three-quarters of you all did. Namely, when the hell did David Krumholtz get that hot? My lord. Pretty.

Yes, and see also: when the hell did Rob Morrow get that hot? The sight of him running around in tight jeans, rolled-up sleeves, and a gun is far too hot to be believed.

See, I've never seen Rob Morrow in anything else, so my attention was very squarely in the "mmmm, pretty Charlie" camp.

See, now you have to go rent Northern Exposure. I think season 1 is out on DVD.

I say this every time I see that show. He was supposed to be some kind of less repulsive Woody Allen. Go figure.

do you mean you never watched Northern Exposure?

Well who the hell is going to write me my Northern Exposure/Due South crossover then?

He is now on my short list of young actors who have bucked the trend by making you say "wow, they grew up nice" instead of, uh, the opposite. Mostly the only other people I have on the list so far are the Olsen twins and Rupert Grint, though, so whatever.

Okay, I just did the math and realized that you would have been, uh, very young when Northern Exposure was on. *pauses for the sudden wave of mortality to ebb*

In any case, I suspect it's a show you would really appreciate. If you get a chance to rent the DVDs or see it on TV I recommend checking it out. It's just as quirky as DS ever was and, well, probably better written.

That man is one of the few things that will inspire the phrase "mmmm math" to spring from my lips without sarcasm or venom.

I confided to [livejournal.com profile] scrunchy a few months back that ever since Addams Family Values, my internal monologue refers to David Krumholtz simply as Krumholtz!, complete with exclamation point. Which means those commercials for Numbers started up and it was all Holy shit! Krumholtz! And he's all hot now!" I might have been convinced to go beyond Pre-Calculus if I'd had a teacher who looked like him.
