[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: *finishes book 1/3 of on christian doctrine*
[livejournal.com profile] dsudis: *parses*
pearl_o: book 1 out of three books.
dsudis: That was a front runner.
pearl_o>: not book one third.
dsudis: *nods*
pearl_o: "on christian doctrine" being the title. although also the subject. the ancients are very helpful like that.
dsudis: ahhhh.
pearl_o: I should name my next story "On Fraser and Ray Having the Gay Sex."
dsudis: *grins*
dsudis: "In Which" was more of, what, a 19C thing?
dsudis: "In Which Ray and Fraser Have the Gay Sex"
pearl_o: yeah, and that's more a chapter heading thing.
dsudis: "On" would be more of a treatise.
pearl_o: or a subtitle.
dsudis: Meta.
dsudis: *nods*
pearl_o: good point! that does sound more like an essay.
pearl_o: unless it was a story written like a treatise.
pearl_o: and exploring the different aspects of Fraser and Ray and the Gay Sex.
dsudis: *nods*
pearl_o: ...I do not need to write bizarre fic in the style of all the rhetorical essays I've been reading.
pearl_o: That would be odd.
dsudis: yes, yes it would.
dsudis: on the other hand, I am attempting to derive pi by hand.
dsudis: so.
dsudis: There's odd and odd.
