1: Name your ten favourite titles from stories you've written (or, if you're not a writer, just name your ten favourite titles).

Bloodletting
Elias Budd's Charming Widow
How Many Ways
Meanwhile, in an Alternate Dimension
Milk and Ash
The Outline of a Circle
Sandwich as Aphrodisiac
Tenderfoot
Tourniquet
Your Hands, Clasped

Conclusion: I actually don't like that many of my titles. Hmm.

2: If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence/paragraph/whatever from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favorite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else -- this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).

Here's the thing: while I have several things I plan on working on soon (the rest of the ficlets I promised, incest fic for anna), I actually have nothing in progress right now. Therefore, I am going to cheat a little and use a paragraph from the last comment porn tig I was doing with [livejournal.com profile] lalejandra:

Ray taps a beat on the steering wheel and says, "You ever watch that TV in the mornings? I woke up at like ten a.m., the kids down the hall are out of school for the summer and blaring this rap music at top volume -- and you know I am a cool guy, but I am trying to sleep, I am wiped out, so I go down the hall and knock and I do the whole stupid thing, you know, Chicago P.D., stake-outs, keep it down, I even stole your thank you kindly, and it's these little tiny girls, junior high age, and they're both scared out of their wits, right, and they're apologizing and apologizing and then the short one gives me a plate of cookies to make up for it. Anyway, then I try to get back to sleep, but it's too late, I can't get back there, so I end up lying on my couch watching the Price is Right."

Sandwich as Aphrodisiac is possibly my favorite title of anything, ever. Just so you know.

*grins* I only have three Everwood stories, but I really like the titles of all three. It's very strange.
