Computer update

schmericaMy parents decided this afternoon that they would lend me several hundred dollars, allowing me to buy a new computer, which I will pay back to them after I graduate. This evening ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
speshope and I went out to Best Buy and picked out a notebook which fit my budget. It is the same price I paid for the falling-apart Dell a year and a half ago, but is pretty much amazingly superior-seeming in every way. (Not least of which is the change from 25gb to 120!) It is large, and it is shiny, and I am sort of scared to touch anything because it is so pristine at the moment. Someone could come and change their minds and take it away! These things happen! You don't know!
I still have to figure out both how and when I'm going to be able to transfer all my music, pictures and documents from the Dell, but hopefully we'll be abe to take care of that this weekend or early next week.
So that this entry is not totally boring, I will give you guys a cool link from my favorite linguistics blogs: last weekend marked a neat event for Canadian native languages.
Also: how about that Heroes? Pretty awesome, man.
