I think the thing with that picture of Mikey is, you need the context that he took off his glasses for the picture and can't actually see more than a foot in any direction.

Ahahaha, seriously, how would that even work? I can imagine the Pete antagonism toward Mikey, but that seems like a lot of effort for Mikey to do in return.
