random chat fic!

schmericaI have no interesting thoughts these days that aren't chat transcripts. I'm really sorry! But here, if you feel like reading the Gerard/Ray high school baby dyke girlfriends story I told Imp earlier despite the formatting, it's behind the cut tag.
PEARL: i am thinking about girl gerard and girl ray
PEARL: probably about 16?
PEARL: and totally bff and dorky losers
PEARL: it is the summer between sophomore and junior year and they hang out in gee's basement and watch horror movies and read comic books
PEARL: gee always wears dirty jeans and a really baggy hoodie even though it is like 90 degrees out
PEARL: they hang out and listen to music and smoke up with gee's little brother even though he's way too young (whatever, he's magically fourteen)
PEARL: ray sleeps over a lot and they talk in the middle of the night about their HOPES and DREAMS and how much people suck and music and etc etc etc
PEARL: they don't actually talk about boys that often.
PEARL: but it's not like there's anything to talk about, you know.
IMP: awwwwwwwww
IMP: do they mutually crush?
PEARL: of course!
PEARL: and one night when they're watching movies gee just sort of casually mentions how hot angelina jolie is. and ray is like 'yeah." gee is like 'i'd totally do her." and ray nods, feeling the prickly heat come into her cheeks.
PEARL: but then the subject changes!
PEARL: except that night after they've been drinking gee's hidden vodka stash ray gets up enough nerve to ask gee if she really, you know. likes girls like that.
PEARL: and gee's eyes go wide and she looks almost scared for a moment, but she juts her chin out and is like "yeah, i do."
PEARL: "so you're like ... a lesbian?" ray says, and gee shrugs. "no, i just ... i like people. gender doesn't matter."
PEARL: and ray says "oh."
IMP: awwww. what's going on in ray's head?
PEARL: ray has been crushing on gee forever, you know, but she didn't really try to think about it, because gee was her best friend. and it's not like gee liking girls means she likes ray, but it's still ... interesting. ray doesn't know if that means she's bi, too, or what.
PEARL: gee is the one who kisses ray, finally, one afternoon when they've been sititng around on gee's bed for hours, propped against each other, reading comics.
IMP: yay! do either of them freak out?
PEARL: not then!
PEARL: it's both of their first kisses, so it's weird at first, but good
PEARL: and they end up making out -- hands carefully on top of shirts and away from breasts -- for an hour or so before ray has to head back home.
PEARL: and then after dinner that night ray calls gee
PEARL: and it's ... really awkward. neither of them really know what to say!
IMP: oh no! who breaks the ice?
PEARL: finally gee is like "we really suck at this" and ray is like "i know" and they both kind of giggle a lot. and gee is like "can you come over tomorrow?" but ray has some, like, family stuff going on, so she can't come back for a couple days, but they make plans for then.
IMP: yay!
PEARL: and they don't talk or anything in those couple days
PEARL: but ray can't stop thinkign about it, of course. it just flashes into her brain at random times. and she's all sort of nervously hyped up for the next time they see each other.
PEARL: so when she finally comes over, gee answers the door and they stand there grinning at each other dopily until mikey finally speaks up from behind gee all "what the fuck, you guys" and they actually move.
IMP: i am really really in love with this.
IMP: also, lol mikeyway
PEARL: they smoke up with mikeyway again and watch stupid movies, and it's the three of them on the couch, which it's been a hundred times before, but now gee is curled up against her, her head resting on ray's shoulder, and she keeps trailing one finger down ray's forearm and it makes ray catch her breath everytime. she really wants to kiss gee again but mikey is right there.
PEARL: she's pretty sure he's determinedly ignoring them but it's still weird.
IMP: do they make an awkward excuse to run away?
PEARL: yeah, they're totally not thinking clearly enough for that.
PEARL: they just hold hands under the blanket and kind of wish mikey away with their mind powers.
IMP: ahahahahaha
PEARL: finally at the end of the movie mikey looks over at them and sort of just looks at them. ray is blushing again. gee has her innocent face on.
PEARL: "what is your problem?" mikey says.
PEARL: "we want you to go away so we can make out," gee says cheerfully.
IMP: loling forever
PEARL: "...ew," mikeyway says, wrinkling his nose. but it gets him to leave because he's all "i'm gonna go play video games. in my room. with loud music on."
IMP: a++ life decision, mikeyway
PEARL: so then ray and gee are finally alone! and this time ray kisses gee and it's really really nice, they're totally getting the hang of this now, and it ends up with them horizontal on the couch all wrapped around each other and they both get to second base.
PEARL: gee thinks ray's tits are amazing, which -- ray is totally embarrassed by her rack, you know, because they're big and people stare sometimes and it's awkward, but gee likes them a lot.
IMP: that must be a change! what about how ray sees gee?
PEARL: they don't actually get shirts off that time, just hands up under the bras, but ray really does think gee is really pretty in general. she looks kind of like a doll, you know, all pale and pretty and little, except she's not all delicate, either.
PEARL: and once they do get to the naked place, it's cool because gee usually covers herself up so much, you know, and it's like ray gets to see what nobody else does.
IMP: awwwwwww
PEARL: so basically they spend the rest of the summer doing exactly the same dorky things as ever, except with a lot more making out punctuating it.
PEARL: and then it's the last week before school starts up again
IMP: uhoh. does stuff change?
PEARL: it's weird because they haven't really talked about school
PEARL: and ray's kind of worried about it but she doesn't want to bring it up to gee because she thinks it's stupid
PEARL: so they're drinking beer on labor day weekend and gee is babbling about something or another she's all excited about with her comics and ray is sitting there peeling the labels off her bottles and thinking.
IMP: does gee catch on?
PEARL: not right then.
PEARL: later on when they're doing something else she comes up and catches ray in a hug from behind, and she can feel the tension in ray's body then, and she frowns and wants to do know what's wrong.
PEARL: and ray kind of shrugs because she's not even sure what exactly she's worried about, you know?
PEARL: and gee is still frowning, and like "do you think things ae going to change?"
PEARL: ray shrugs again.
PEARL: gee, uncertain: "do you ... want things to change?"
PEARL: and ray's head pops up and she says "what?"
IMP: :o
PEARL: gee is not looking at her anymore, just playing with the thready bits in the hole of her jeans, and she says, "you know i don't give a fuck about whatever people say. i just want.... look, ray, i don't know."
PEARL: and ray has no idea what she's trying to say.
PEARL: and gee is finally like "if you don't want to be my girlfriend anymore, it's okay. we can still be friends."
IMP: NO. BAD GEE.
PEARL: and inside ray is like "girlfriend :D?"
PEARL: but she just says "....i don't want that."
PEARL: and gee looks up at her all uncertain through her eyelashes
PEARL: and ray says "i wanna be your girlfriend."
PEARL: and gee smiles.
