Hello livejournal! In an hour or so, I am leaving to meet [livejournal.com profile] happy_coconut, because we are going into Portland tonight to see Jesus Christ Superstar. It is all very exciting! It is even starring Ted Neeley, from the film version. If that does not impress you, you should say the name "Ted Neeley" under your breath several times until it does seem amazing.

I had hoped to get out my requests for letters of recommendations today, but that goal was not met this afternoon. I could blame it on me missing my computer again, but frankly that gets old, and really I am just too lazy and need to get over myself. As long as they're out before noon tomorrow, I think I am okay. GO SELF GO.

I have been thinking about how I want to read a story about Cash and Singer being secretly married. Like, perhaps the week before or week after high school graduation they went to some shitty Vegas chapel and got hitched and told nobody -- not anybody in their band, not anybody in their families, nobody. They have just been married this entire time! Originally I was imagining this with canon Cash and Singer, but I think I like it even better in an AU where Singer is a lady. Everything else can be exactly the same as rl, though. The point is: SECRET MARRIAGES \o/.

I love secret marriages almost as much as I love accidental marriages. Which is a lot.

[livejournal.com profile] couldbeyourlife and I have been talking about them being secretly married, but like Cash sort of tricks Singer into it due to a Health and Family class, you know, the ones where the teachers pair students up in a pretend mariage and make them develop a budget etc. and Cash just sort of ... carries the idea to it's natural conclusion. :D

plus, they are so totally married.

Of all the late-night/emergency/"oh my god what have we done?" phone calls that Pete had imagined getting, accidental drunken marriages between guys on his label were actually on the list. He had met his friends, after all.

He just never thought that Johnson would be the one calling him, asking what they were supposed to do about the marriage licence with Cash and Singer's names on it.

And somehow, Gabe didn't seem to be involved at all.

(Johnson calling to ask what to do with Cash's body was on Pete's list - the cause of death being a tossup between homicide and self-inflicted bizarre sex accident).

I am sorry I forgot to answer this darling! :(((( But it was awesome, Kelly and I were both very pleased! The singing was all very good, and a lot of the staging choices were super wtf, which added to our pleasure. He totally looked way too old for the part, but that is okay! I ... can't remember who our Mary Magdalene was, and I do not have the program in front of me right now. She had a really pretty red dress, though.
