Today I watched both the season 2 and season 3 Psych Christmas specials! Pop quiz, which is gayer, the plotline all about "Shawn freaking out about Gus's parents not liking him and making a desperate attempt to convince them he's a good influence so they will love him and approve of his partnership with Gus" or "Shawn having a fling with Gus's sister and keeping it a secret for ten years and Gus finding out and freaking out and BETRAYED"? Please feel free to expand on your answer.

Also, who is cuter than Juliet? The answer is NO ONE. NO ONE IS CUTER THAN JULES. You may think someone might be, but you would be wrong.

I say the former. The latter could be explained away (or at least diluted by) Gus being weirded out/betrayed at Shawn touching his sister (pinging off the brother/sister thing), but the former... it's hard to see it as anything else but gay.

Well, to be fair, the s2 thing can also be explained by his pathological need to be liked by everyone, but...

Too gay to choose! And I don't have to because it's all part of the same big gay relationship! Although s3 does have the nighttime hallway scene with doors that is OMGSOFREAKINGGAY. Because, see, if the overt *gasp* of impropriety (or perceived impropriety), a.k.a. sexual overtone, is the act of breaching bedroom doors, as established by the precipitating heterosexual desire of Shawn seeking out Gus' sister's room, and she his, then the comic missteps of that perpetually failed (and foiled, by a cock-blocking Gus) assignation, combined with the number of instances of bedroom penetration of one another by Shawn and Gus, strongly encodes a message of homosexual intimacy over heterosexual intimacy. At least, that's how I remember it.
