My last paycheck was issued August 21st. There's no direct deposit for the last paycheck, so they had to mail it out here, and then I had to sign it and mail it all the way back out to Oregon, because I belong to a shitty credit union far away from everything, so I mailed that out back Wednesday and the money still hasn't been deposited in my bank account and I have less than 3 dollars left and I need that money argggh bank why do you want to make me cryyyy.

I wanted to go into the city today to print out information on Iranian historical languages and start reading one of the books on reserve for my Wednesday class, but it's not something I absolutely have to do, and I don't want to use up my Metrocard when I don't know when I'll have cash to fill it up again. >:(

In more cheerful news: hey, remember this post from May? loveyouallwrong and I were talking, and we think it's time to do it again. Bandom secrets! Except we're not that strict on either the "bandom" part or the "secret" part, really, and we're kind of harsh about deleting if you start non-lolzy wank. The only differences this time are going to be a) it's gonna be in my journal instead of loveyouallwrong's and b) we're giving you a couple days warning in advance. Mostly likely I'll put the post up some time Friday afternoon or evening, once I get home from school, so go ahead and start mulling it over now. <333

Not really. When I drive it doesn't bother me and if i mail it it's usually in the next day or so because it's so close. Plus I get an awesome interest rate + they reimburse me for all my ATM fees which is the BEST THING EVAR.

The Iranian language thing isn't actually for a specific class, it's just a language family I'm super-interested in. I'm starting with the Avestan primer on this page (http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~iranian/), I think, and see if I can find good grammars to check out.

OIC! So you're more interested in the ancient languages? Or are you interested in/do you speak Farsi too? I've always >:('d that my parents didn't raise us to be multilingual, but my dad speaks Farsi, which is part of why I was curious.

I am also interested in both the historical languages and in Farsi, but I'm totally starting from scratch. I'm hoping next year I'll be able to take classes in modern Farsi, too, but I don't think CUNY offers any, so I have to wait until my second year to take classes in other NYC universities through the consortium.

lol WELL if you ever have a question for a native speaker that you feel weird about bringing up in class when you do take modern Farsi, I can always relay things back and forth to my dad. He'd probably be really pleased. He tries to teach me stuff now but I have a hard time making the proper sounds. UH. WHICH MEANS IT PROBABLY WOULDN'T BE TOO HELPFUL FOR ANYTHING. lol I could make my dad voicepost to lj for you! JUST TALK INTO THE PHONE DAD. NO, DON'T LISTEN TO THE INSTRUCTIONS, I'LL TAKE CARE OF THAT.
