Sometimes when I am having a bad couple of days, there is nothing more comforting than thinking about how, right this minute, way off somewhere in northern Canada, Benton Fraser and Ray Kowalski are off somewhere being happy married old dudes in love in some cabin they probably made with their own hands.

RPF can break your heart (as bandom as shown beautifully, but also, Demi/Selena, what happened?), but some things last forever.

Nan can I just mention how adorable I am finding your embarrassing new fandom? BECAUSE YES. Also I hope you learn to appreciate Demi Lovato really soon, because she is precious.

Absolutely. I am 100% convinced of this and it makes me happy on a regular basis.

I can't even explain it, but it's like this little set piece of happy, isn't it?

I'm apparently getting really into hockey as a sport lately, which means I'm thinking about Canada more than is usual for me, which in turn leads to thoughts of Ray and Fraser running a hockey camp up north and being cranky old husbands together. They are truly the blanket fort of otps. ♥

And hey, we'll always have Paul Gross!

WILL YOU PLEASE WRITE THIS? Now that the idea is out there running free, it really needs to be written.

(Also, I totally agree about them being the blanket fort of otps. That's a fabulous image!)

Hah, I am definitely not a writer. I'm not going to lie to you though, a lot of my imaginings are basically continuations of these scenes (http://dira.ficlaundering.com/ds/hockey/fiveconversations.html) from the future of The Hockey Fic. Or I guess any other Ray-And-Fraser-Move-To-The-Northwest-Areas fic out there.

LET'S TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH I WANT TO READ THE ARTICLE THAT FRANNIE WOULD WRITE ABOUT THEM.

Oh man, Shoe, LET'S. Because Frannie would interview them for it and Ray would hate every second of it, even though he doesn't distrust her so much anymore. And Fraser would be all polite and vague, except for how it's TOTALLY OBVIOUS how crazy he is about Ray. Basically I'm unspeakably sad that this article does not exist in the real world for me to read.

see, I think it's one of the ones that Frannie has had half written forever! (She's not dumb! and she's been so hopeful for them) but she does need quotes and demands a picture of them in their suits in front of the court house.

Okay, despite never having seen Due South, I find everything about it IMMENSELY COMFORTING. It's like the comfort food of fandom or something.
