12/4/03 18:03I have finally given in to the celebrity crushes meme. Gacking that and the TV Boyfriends/Girlfriends from
musesfool, because I'm bored.
1. Who are your current celebrity crushes? (Define "celebrity" however you want.)
Gregory Smith (brand new!)
Alan Cumming
Ian McKellen
Chris Kirkpatrick
John Cusack
Jon Stewart
Ewan McGregor
Amber Benson
Clea Duvall
Tina Fey
There are more, I'm sure, but those are the first that jump to mind. And even more that I think of, but mostly because of association with one or two characters they've played, say.
2. Who is your longest lasting celebrity crush?
Alan Cumming, I think, at least intensity-wise -- or possibly Ewan McGregor. Both probably go back about three or four years.
3. Who is the celebrity crush most likely to identify you as a geek? Any and all of them.
Well, really, all my fictional character crushes are much geekier, I think. But the John Cusack crush is pretty much a standard for geeky girls, as is Jon Stewart, I think.
4. Who is the weirdest celebrity you've ever had a crush on?
Dude, I don't know. I have no judgment skills. Look around and decide whoever sounds weirdest.
5. Who was your first celebrity crush? How old were you?
I can't really remember any early celebrity crushes. My childhood was spent crushing on fictional characters, whether in movies or books. The first I can really remember on real people were in eighth and ninth grades, with Alan Cumming and Ewan McGregor above, along with Kurt Cobain and Rivers Cuomo.
6. Do I even have to say it? ;-)
Um.
7. Who is the celebrity you are most embarrassed to admit you have a crush on?
Hmm. Depends on the company, I guess. There are very few contexts where I can't find at least one other person to agree with me on the hotness. At home, possibly Chris Kirkpatrick, just because my family is annoying about *Nsync. In general, maybe the old men crushes, though those aremore annoying (people old enough to be my grandfather are not allowed to be hot!) than embarrassing.
****
And then my top five TV Girlfriends and Boyfriends. I'm counting shows not on the air anymore, too. Because I can!
Boyfriends:
Dan (Sports Night)
Ephram (Everwood)
Giles (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Oz (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Wash (Firefly)
Girlfriends:
Chloe (Smallville)
Kaylee (Firefly)
Lindsay (Freaks and Geeks)
Lisa Miller (Newsradio)
Tara (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
