good omens (only not the book)

Today is shaping up to be a very good day.

Witness:

+ My french film and lit professor let us out way way early (everybody'd had trouble getting the movie we were supposed to watch), so I had a whole free hour and a half or so in the middle of the day!

+ welvilly has a car now, which can be used for transportation purposes! Like, away from the school and stuff! It's crazy.

+ minstrelia got into her school of joy!

+ I got a package from molly36 today, filled with Sentinel tapes! It was a mystery package at first ("I don't recognize this address, or last name. Hmm.") until I had the brilliant idea of, you know, opening it.

+ I got a second package as well! This one was from My Folks. The fact that I already knew the contents of this one (two new pairs of jeans, a copy of Little Big and Easter candy) does not make it any less exciting. Mmm, Cadbury creme eggs...

+ The soda machine in the lounge gave me two Cokes instead of one!

In conclusion: Go me! Perhaps this is a good time to try and get writing done. Or homework.

Anybody who jinxes me now will be dealt with severely.

Whee Sentinel tapes! I have a big stack at home I've taped off Sci-Fi. One thing I have to say for TS, they know how to pander to the viewer. Jim appears to have an unending supply of skin tight t-shirts.

I've only seen two or three episodes, so I know mostly from fic and fannish hearsay. I'm quite excited, though.

Sadly, the quality of writing on the TV show is not exactly, um, high. But, it's no worse than other TV I watch obsessively, and whoa slashy goodness.
