I got my grades from Simon's Rock today. ( La la la, grades grades grades. )
Also, I have an interview with Plaid Pantry for Monday at 1 pm, so you can all keep your fingers crossed, if you like. Interview = maybe leading to job = maybe leading to money, which I need.
Today is my brother's 22nd birthday, and my parents' 23rd wedding anniversary. Also, Flag Day. This all equals me making special dinner tonight.
I've been in a really good cooking mood the past week or so, but man, it's hard! I don't have *my* cookbook here! (My cookbook = "How To Cook Everything" by Mark Bittman.) It's in some box with my other stuff from school, out in Pennsylvania. My parents have cookbooks, obviously, but they're either too old, too fancy-schmancy, or too ... not good in general. Plus, there are recipes in my cookbook I've made a dozen times, and *know* are good; it's the book I more or less used to teach myself to cook; and I trust it for new things. I've never made, say, roast chicken or frittata or something with a different recipe. Damn not having a photographic memory!
*sniff* I miss that cookbook so.
