schmerica: (polly perkins)
I finished rewatching buffy season 2!

Becoming made me bawl like a baby. This is not a surprise in any way.

I started getting vaguely choked up in *anticipation* fairly early, but it was probably not until the "No friends, no weapons, no hope. Take all that away, and what's left?" that the actual tears starting up, and pretty much, you know, continued through the end of the episode.

Stupid Sarah McLachlan. Between due South and Buffy, her voice is now, like, an automatic "WAAAAAH" reaction from me. Beloved characters in beautiful horrible pain! Sniff.

Being at home feels weirdly like a whole different universe. School? What school? Like I never left, and everything elsewhere is a parallel dimension of activity.

Also, my brain is busy doing other stuff and leeching out fannish thoughts, which is strange to get used to. I haven't spent this little time thinking about Fraser and Ray in ages.

Um. Which might actually say something unhealthy about how I am in general, now that I think about it.

I do want to get some writing done this week, regardless. I don't know, though. My brain seems to still be in a unusually rejoicing-in-unhappiness place at the moment. The two F/K things bouncing around my head with the desire for someone else to write right now are the thing I mentioned last week -- something that has that same resigned ending feel as "Divorce Song" -- and then a story involving Ray and Fraser in a long term relationship and dealing with Ray cheating on him.

(Nif: Why would you want that!?
me: ...I don't know. I'm a bad person?
Nif: *eyes me*)

The sister and I watched Dawn of the Dead, which was still enjoyable. I still haven't decided whether to just skip ahead to Buffy season 4 until my brother brings the s3 dvds. And Sims 2 still won't install. Tonight my mother made potato pancakes for dinner, my favorite of favorites.

Maybe tonight I'll start doing my canon reviewing for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide. Hmm.

awwwww

Okay, one more adventure with screencaps from callumkeithrennie.net, and then I'm done. Seriously.

[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: They're so *cute*.
[livejournal.com profile] dsudis: OMG eeeeeeee!
[livejournal.com profile] dsudis: Cutest Couple EVAR.
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: That cap is great because of how Ray appear to vaguely be staring at Fraser lovingly.
[livejournal.com profile] dsudis: *nodsnods*
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: not that this one isn't cute, too.
[livejournal.com profile] dsudis: Also, they seem to have matching hair.
[livejournal.com profile] pearl_o: heee.

I'm not sure whether I really like this meme, or if it's vaguely depressing. Either way, though, it's interesting.
