I went all the way out to the fairgrounds today, but no work. I'm guaranteed a shift tomorrow, at least. So if nothing else, I should have at least 50 dollars or so on my paycheck before taxes.
I've been watching a frightening amount of trashy tv lately, between VH1, E! and others. At one point last week, I watched two different shows about how Britney Spears spends her millions -- in a row. (And then I watched Eminem's greatest tv moments.) VH1 is a lower and more pleasant level of trashy, I think; it doesn't make you feel dirty afterwards the way E! does.
I went to the library the other day as well. I'm a few books behind over at
shinybookses -- I find myself eating the books down and then not particularly want to think about them to the point of writing a few paragraphs. Kind of sucky.
The cheap summer movies over in F.G. rock, though. This weekend my sister and I saw Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which was a lot of fun (even if I did almost fall asleep in the middle). It was preceded by four different Warner Brothers cartoons, and part of a really cheesy 1950's science fiction serial.
Also? I got awesome new pants! Fred Meyer does have a few cute things buried in their plus size section, if you look. Even in the clearence racks. Cool new clothes rock my socks.
