poll-o-rama
4/8/03 19:40First, note the new icon. I <3 Danny muchly.
Now, onto the subject of the post. It's been too long since I made a poll, I think. And I have questions! Oh, yes.
[Poll #164606]
I forgot to leave spaces for all of the above. Hmm.

4/8/03 20:09 (UTC)1. Other: find job, *then* mo-e in with Li-ia. The parents are less likely to kick up a fuss about it if you're earning by the time you mo-e out.
2. See Bend It Like Beckham, because you ha-e already seen PotC, and while PotC has the Johnny Depp in black eyeliner factor, BILB has the Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in white linen shirt factor. And while Keira Knightley is in both films, her haircut in BILB is much better. You should see it at least once, definitely. Also, extremely funny, and a great look at how a girl on the cusp of adulthood balances her own needs against those of a family which genuinely lo-es her but just doesn't *get* her, and keeps trying to hold her back. Which could possibly ha-e some rele-ance to your current situation. Finally, it should be seen for the Juliet Ste-enson factor. Middlingly well-known Serious Actress playing a comedic role for once, and damn is she funny.
3. 'The Kid: An Adoption Story' by Dan Sa-age. Hysterically funny, irre-erent true story of two gay men who adopt a baby. Sa-age is a brilliant comic writer, and the sentimental bits don't cloy.
4. Hmmm, well I don't know which WIP is frustrating you, but if you're hoping to get kickstarted into working on Girl!Clark, maybe reading Ri-ka T.'s 5 Things That Ne-er Happened to Lex Luthor will inspire you.
P.S. Rhys-Meyers is in my icon, if you're wa-ering.

And, aw, of course I know who Jonathan Rhys-Meyers is! He was in the thinly-veiled-RPS/lots-of-snogging-and-nudity-with-Ewan-McGregor/pretty-boys-in-make-up movie!
