Oh, and I just remembered the other two things I wanted to mention:

A. I've now seen all of Kevin Smith's movies except Mallrats, I think -- I hadn't seen Chasing Amy before last week, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is much better now that I've seen that and Clerks first. Also, Jason Lee is hot.

B. Polyamorous Recommendations rocks my socks. I have not seen a fandom yet they have led me astray on.

The thing about J&SB Strike Back is that it was Kev's gift to the fans, so in addition to his usual 7,392 pop culutre references, it's also rife with shouts to all the previous films. The Planet of the Apes bit is funny - it's ten times as cool if you know that it's Randal being hunted by the damn dirty ape and Dante with his brain exposed! And the bit at the end? With all the characters leaving the theatre? Just knowing that Hooper and Banky are having "shared moments" made my day!

Chasing Amy is my favorite of all of his films. It's not quite as smart as Dogma, but has much more heart than the others; this is the direction he's going with Jersey Girl.

And don't sweat Mallrats. Fun film, but just plain *bad!*

I seem to have gone on at some lengh. Sorry, but you mention my True Love and Future Employer and I tend to go off *g*

Hee. Like I mind the long passionate comment, dude. But, yes, injokes = fun and hilarity! woohoo! And I still plan on seeing Mallrats, if only to be complete.
