Today I should have been having my first day of classes for my junior year of college at SRC.
Oh, well.
I think my week away from the computer did me good -- the time away from fandom, particularly. I feel newly dejaded and fresh! Also, I got much cooking done -- especially after my cookbook arrived last week. That's the cookbook I've taught myself to cook with, basically. I heart it muchly.
The worst thing, really, was that I didn't have the opportunity to post post-surgery and look sad and tell you all to write me things in my time of need.
Today, I:
--read
--took care of small children
--began making a spreadsheet of all my books, noting author and full title and organizing them in alphabetical order by title. I only got the first 150 or so done, though.
Random things I cannot do:
--Roll my tongue
--Blow bubbles in bubble gum
--Snap my fingers
--Do a cartwheel
--Drive
Movies I have seen in the theater in the last week:
--SWAT (entertaining, but strangely ... small-seeming. Like the movie that ended wasn't the same movie they'd began with)
--Uptown Girls (mediocre, but that's what I expected; good enough to distract me for an hour and a half, and I liked the little girl)

26/8/03 13:56 (UTC)My family realizes that tongue rolling is genetic, but this does that stop them from the mocking of it anyway.

I'm more than willing to teach you how to do all of those things, except roll your tongue, since that is indeed genetic. My 21 month old does it all time time.
::pets you::
How about five things you CAN do, babe?

Re: Hee
26/8/03 13:57 (UTC)I accept my shortcomings.
And I talk about things I can do all the time! There's no fun in that.

25/8/03 23:27 (UTC)I didn't say it was a *good* simulation, but it's good if for some reason you want everyone to suddenly point and laugh at you.

26/8/03 13:58 (UTC)happy to see you
26/8/03 00:40 (UTC)I got a call from the 503 yesterday, but it was one of my future apartmentmates instead. She's katwrites here. I'm actually thinking of getting an account to keep an eye on the STUPID LJ TRAITORS that I care about, but I don't know how I would go about doing this.
You will be the first to be informed that the button site is up at http://www15.brinkster.com/sprhrgrl/buttons
But you knew who this was before that link was there.

Re: happy to see you
26/8/03 01:06 (UTC)Dude, your apartmentmate and I totally have a friend in common! Her userinfo lists one of my closest friends from college (Emma, who was actually supposed to be *my* housemate this year).
For an account, I can email you an account code, so you can just go to create a journal on the main page and everything.
And buttons! Wheeeeeeeee!
