Okay, so that didn't suck as much as it looked like from last week's preview. Yay for not sucking! Although, man, Andy's subplot was BORETASTIC. *cough*

Also, I now bow down to the fandom OTP, because Ephram and Bright were very very cute. With the pudding, and the "Do we have a date tonight?" And the end made it look, at least, like they were going to get closer now that Amy's pushed Ephram out.

I have no clear concept of Laynie's character whatsoever. Seriously. I don't get her at *all*. She seems to be a different person every time she shows up.

There is no way Amy is fifteen. Juniors = sixteen or seventeen. She was fifteen all of last year with Ephram.

The wee!Abbotts were so cute I can't stand it. Small Harold, all fussy! Awww. And I liked grown-up Linda as well. And Harold's hissyfit made me happy. Also, I'd like her for a love interest better than Nina, if it had to go that way.

Oh, my god. *Why* does my Bright love have to increase each week? I didn't even like him last season, dammit! He did lose points for using the word slut, though, because that annoys me. But otherwise, yayness.

More Delia would have been nice, because more Delia is always nice.

*raises hand* Er, I was a fifteen year old junior. (My birthday's in November.)

Yeah, Laynie's kind of confusing right now. I mean, the whole time Amy and Bright were shouting at each other about Colin she was just sort of standing there saying nothing. I guess you could point to her being too drunk to contribute....

(Let's see if this actually lets me reply to you and not me now.)

Yes, this is true. I was being lazy and making big generalizations when I just meant that I don't believe Amy happens to be one.

And Laynie! I mean, sure, that would explain her in that scene, I guess, but ... I don't know. Her whole attitude in this episode reminded me more ofthe sort of people she was mocking back in Snow Job. You could make the argument that Colin's death has changed her whole personality, but they haven't really shown that.

I think other people's LJs were having trouble with the reply function yesterday too.

Yeah, there hasn't been much focus devoted to Laynie or Laynie's motives, but then it's only been a few episodes. I'm a bit worried they're past their limit with new characters -- adding both Linda and Laynie in a season makes it crowded, and means certain bits of characterization and storylines are going to get shafted.
