12/10/03 12:52Dude, Friday and Saturday were *totally* good days.
- Package from
sprkid, with cool mix cd (full of fun dykey music) - Package from
dammitcarl, with all the O.C. episodes on CD -- her pimping hasn't worked so far, you know, but jess keeps up hope. And I'll try and watch them all for her, now that she's put so much work into it. - Intolerable Cruelty isn't as much fun as most of the Coen brothers' movies (The Big Lebowski! Raising Arizona!) but it was pretty good nonetheless. George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones are both people I didn't like at all a couple years ago, but have grown more and more fond of. And when did Catherine Zeta-Jones get that gorgeous? Wow. I also appreciated that the required romantic comedy big stupid gushy idiotic speech, though played completely straight, was followed by a complete turnaround and duping. I wasn't expecting that, yo, but it was great.
- The sister and I watched Margaret Cho's I'm the One that I Want last night. Um, why had I never seen this before? You people all keep things from me. (That is actually a lie. Actually, I was thinking of
sprkid and
fox1013 on and off through the whole thing.) - You know, even if I didn't like Justin Timberlake for any other reason, the human beatbox never ever ever ceases to amuse me. But, eeeeeee! SNL kicked ass last night; he was amusing and cute and fun as hell. Though I'm not sure what to think of those wigs, man -- he looked like a very pretty girl in the Barry Gibb sketch, and a three year old in the Punk'd sketch.
