[livejournal.com profile] grrleloquence's endless nagging persistance with pimping *Nsync has finally paid off, I guess, because she just convinced me to dive in headfirst and sign up for the popslash secret santa.

Eeep. I suspect a large part of that month and a half shall be spent in nervous wacky IM's to val, molly, or isi till they calm my crazy self.

In completely different news: I'm still totally digging on Joan of Arcadia. I ponder an icon to replace Lindsay Weir.

Joan is really starting to hit its stride, isn't it? At first I was really skeptical about the way they were using the police subplots, but they've started working them in more naturally within these last couple of episodes. Though I was sad to see ex-Dr. Dave go. (I can't remember the actor's name.)

And the characters! There's not one of them who I dislike. And I have such a crush on Adam. Cha!

I agree about the subplots -- I didn't think they worked at all the first two episodes or so, but they're starting to feel organic.

And Adam! Awwww. So cute.

Woo! You'll excuse me if I get excited that you're writing in my major fandom. Because, woo!

Don't you know it's always offensive when someone's excited you're writing in their fandom? Jeez, what's wrong with you?

Heh. Such a faux pas! (And I think I spelled that wrong. ::makes a face::)

Joan is wonderful. I'm just shocked every day how much I like this show. All the actors are wonderful and I'm thrilled that it's doing well. To my eternal shame, I tuned in to the pilot to *mock* it, and was hooked.

I just thought it sounded vaguely interesting, so I tuned in to the first show. I was very pleasantly surprised, and it just keeps getting better, and I keep liking the characters more and more. It rocks my socks.

Woo! And, dude, it only took me a year of nagging persistance!

*dances*

Wow, almost exactly, huh? I seem to remember it was early November when I shyly presented my first pop icon.

You are going to get *so* *much* whining from me, my dear. I hope you're prepared.

hey, i don't think i'm donning gay apparel this year, because i really want to wrap up a couple of already outstanding popslash things i've got (and then get back to lexnclark), but i'm available for various nervous wacky questions as some kind of charitable sparkly donation.

Thank you so much! I'm not sure if I actually have enough moxie to be able to IM people out of the blue, but knowing that you're there is comforting.

Huh, you realise I've known you know for a year? Time sure does fly.

Wow.

Known you know? Known you know what?! ... 42?

Uh, I meant now. Obviously.

It wasn't *that* obvious. I kinda thought you just put in an extra word while you were changing something.

But a year! Geez. I had no idea such a large percentage of my life was Isi-tastic. Nifty.
