The website is at http://www.escapadecon.net -- it's in Oxnard, CA in February. There's a limited number of spaces, so there's quite a waitlist and everything.
It's so odd how half my brain is nervous at the prospect of meeting so many strangers, and the other half is all "woo! getting to see all those cool people you know!"
massively cool! nice to know another local is heading down - Michelle (thessaliad) and I are considering driving down - want to join us in carpool discussions?
Oh, definitely -- the travel portion is part of the things leaving kind of lost and confused. I should be up in Olympia at school in February, so I'll probably have to take the bus or train down to Portland, though.
Also, it is nice to know I'll have met at least one person there before. Heh.
Explaining slash to my boss is something I really, really don't ever want to do.
Yeah. He already knows that I have lots of friends in California. Which is very true. So I shall just, you know, figure out a way to say, "Have to go this weekend to see friends. Don't care if you pay me or not."

11/12/03 12:33 (UTC)It's a shame flailing vaguely and saying "cool slash convention!" doesn't just open all the doors.
