And so I'm stealing from Slod.

Which one of my current icons:

1. is your most fave and why?
2. is your least fave and why?
3. have you always wanted context for?
4. have you never noticed I even HAD before?

1. is your most fave and why?
Nutty Muse. Because I associate that icon most with you.

2. is your least fave and why?
Inara. Because she always looks weird to me in that shot. It's the thingy on her head; I always glance at her wrong and I'm like what's sticking out of her mouth, but it's just a veil thing.

3. have you always wanted context for?
I'm not sure I've really pondered it before but I'd like an explanation for Sesame Street.

4. have you never noticed I even HAD before?
Kim Kelly is your friend?

Sesame Street explanation:

Last fall, I was home babysitting the foster kids all day. We watched a *lot* of Sesame Street. One of the bits that stuck in my head from it was one of the little live action songs -- this one was a little Inuit girl (from Alaska, I believe) singing all about her cold weather clothes and the words for them. The song was very catchy, and the chorus went "Because it's ukiuq, and it's cold outside!" (ukiuq being the word for winter).

Fraser comes from Northwest territories/yukon territory of canada, knows inuktitut, has lots of inuit stories, etc. I find the picture of him in that screencap, where he's all bundled up and everything, unspeakably adorable. Thus the combination.

1. The K is for Katie icon, because it's Edward Gorey.
2. The Joan Girardi icon, because she looks depressed and diseased.
3. The Zooey Deschanel icon, because she looks like the Childlike Empress, and I have no idea who she is or where that picture is from.
4. The No Such Thing As Too Many Books icon. Because yes.

Zooey Deschanel is an actress -- she's had parts in Big Trouble, Almost Famous, and a couple other movies. For a while, [livejournal.com profile] dammitcarl and I had her mentally cast as a character in some stories she was writing.

I suddenly am having trouble locating the original picture, though. This is what I get for using a different computer than the one I made it on.

I try to use the books icon only when I'm talking about, you know, books, but I really do love it.

1. I think I have to say Edward Gorey, for obvious reasons. Second favorite is Margo Tenenbaum, though, because it's such a pretty image.
2. I don't know if it's my least favorite, but I agree with [livejournal.com profile] tstar78 that Inara looks a bit scary in the "yay!" icon.
3. The icon labelled "Sesame Street." Wha?
4. The Danny icon that says "pearl-o." How sad to have missed Danny!

Excellent explanation. Though I must admit I always thought the person in the icon was a girl. The bundling makes it difficult to tell!

1. is your most fave and why?
The Callum Keith Rennie one, with him leaning back on the bench

2. is your least fave and why?
Kim Kelly -- I don't know who she is, and the picture doesn't particularly spark my interest to find out

3. have you always wanted context for?
Just wanted to know if nuttier than a fruitcake is in reference to something....

4. have you never noticed I even HAD before?
wendy darling -- I don't think I've seen you use that one.

Kim Kelly is a character from the TV show Freaks and Geeks, actually; "Kim Kelly Is My Friend" was the title of when of the episodes that was pulled by the network in the original run.

Nuttier than a fruitcake isn't in reference to anything in particular, no. [livejournal.com profile] slodwick had a whole series of "muse" icons up for grabs like a year and a half ago, and I've just kept my claimed in rotation ever since, because I think it's cute.

it's funny because this is a quiz to how much attention people have been paying.

the guy upstairs is having sex, i think. good for him.

my faaavorite? at the moment the lick icon, because we watched lost in translation the other day and it reminds me of the "rip my stockings" scene.

my least favorite is the crappy alan one i made, because it's so shoddy and i feel like i'm pressuring you into using it and you don't have to if you don't wnat to.

the ones i don't get i can pretty much figure out where they came from.

i agree that your wendy one is pretty rarely used.

xox!

I've never seen Lost in Translation, actually. Hm.

I actually do like the Alan one, though, yo. It's pretty and cuddly.

1. I think my most fave is either the CKR one with him on the bench, becuase look at all that lickable neck!! Or, the monkey drinking coke. For reasons that are fairly self explanatory.

2. Weirdly, the smallville femmeslash icon. I mean, I'm all about the Chloe and the Lana together but...there's something about Lana's facial expression there that makes me feel uncomfortable.

3. Zoey Deneschal?

4. The pretty pretty Keira Hee.

Well, the Lana there is really creepy TinaGreer!Lana. So maybe that makes a difference.

I gave my Zooey Deschanel explanation above, to hetrez - mostly I just think it's pretty.

And the reason you have not seen the Keira Hee is actually because it is a brand new present from sprkid, and I have not used it yet.
