So I got out of chores today long enough to get down to the movie theater and see King Arthur. (Going to the local movie theater is always weird: "Hey, I went to high school with the ticket seller! And the concessions stands people! And the usher!" BFHS works there as a projectionist, for that matter.)

Anyway. Yes, the movie kind of sucked and was really cheesy. But, you know, it had some quite pretty bits.

Plus? Keira Knightley is teh hot. I mean, dude, you can't go wrong with a girl and a bow. And she and Clive Owen were yummy together.

Also amusing was this line of Lancelot's, from early in the movie: "I don't like *anything* that puts a man on his knees!" Just because, you know, I wouldn't have guessed that from his behavior in the rest of the movie.

I can't tell if I should be getting paranoid that my entries are boring, or paranoid that they're not showing up on people's friends page.

*licks you*

Coming through loud and clear, here.

Do you ever watch the Daily Show? Christina Applegate was on the other night, shilling for Anchorman, and John Stewart spent the first two minutes she was in the chair talking about what a steaming pile of shit King Arthur was, in *exactly* those words.

I can only assume that they tried to get Keira Knightley, and John hadn't gotten over the disappointment yet.

(And then he said something about the cameraman giving him a reach-around, and my brain exploded.)

Dude, I don't have extended cable. No Food Network, no VH1, no Cartoon Network, and no -- sob! -- no Comedy Central and Daily Show.

So, heh. Thank you for bringing up that painful subject!

Heh. My thoughts exactly. Heheh.

Ahahaha, yes. The movie wasn't even particularly slashy at that point, but then later they got the whole warrior-love-bonding thing going on, too, which made it funnier.

It's a VERY slow weekend -- there are a lot of people away and so on!

Oooh! I can't wait until I have time to see this movie! I'll probably try and go this week sometime. I love Ioan Gruffudd, so I'm looking forward to the slashy moments. Am bummed that I don't get to see him kiss Keira Knightly, but I'll just have to live. I get to see him with swords, so it'll have to do. *g*

He does look really hot with the swords, though. And he and Keira Knightley get to share some jealous "you're taking my man away to the freaky blue people, wench!" looks.

Ahahaha, really! He was so bad-breakupy I wanted to snicker.

I maybe did snicker a little, but I was there by myself, so it was okay.
