Things that are more interesting than my work:
1. Checking my email eighty million times
2. Rereading Doomsday Book by Connie Willis yet again
3. Reflecting upon this weekend's trip to Seattle (yay! sprkid, I shall email you times when I get home, okay?)
4. Thinking about the Story I Am Not Writing (Shut Up Dira)
5. Staring into space and doing the math about how much I get paid for the thirty millionth time (a penny ever four seconds! that's comforting when you're on twenty minute hold!)
6. Quite a lot of other things, really.

29/7/04 10:56 (UTC)I have done this too, though usually in meetings lasting more than an hour, where my only other choice to keep my brain from imploding is gnawing off one of my limbs.
Then I calculate how much I'm earning per second =after taxes=. And how much I'm earning towards my health care.
I look very industrious, scribbling away at figures on my pad....

29/7/04 15:59 (UTC)Shall wave wildly in thought that perhaps you've gained supertelescopic vision and can see me from the top of the Space Needle. (Height required to make up for 400(?) mile distance between Sacramento & Seattle...) Hope you have fun on your trip. Travel safe!
