In the future, when you are using Google to look up your school's online bookstore, please be very careful about which link you click. Specifically, please make sure it has the word "college" in it.

Because, see. Evergreen state college bookstore = just what it says

Otherwise, you might end up at a creepy site designed to help cure Mormons struggling with same-sex attraction.

*sigh*

Creepy indeed! Also, I am amused that one of the booklets in the picture was "overcoming pornography".

Oh, yeah. I guess the tape section has a video on overcoming masturbation, too.

Heee. I've been to your college. I went with [livejournal.com profile] minim_calibre and her husband last week when I was in WA; they're alumni and we drove past, so we stopped and explored a bit.

I miss you, too, honey! I am very happy to hear you're doing okay, actually. It's been a while since we talked.

Only a few more weeks till we are both back in olympia, I suppose, though.

I will take my points and hoard them away now.

I am still trying to figure out when I am going back. I had planned all my work and everything around the fact that classes start on the 27th, and planned to go back the weekend before, but then I just got more letters in the mail. Apparently now I am supposed to be there the weekend before that. When I will be unpacked and sleepy because I just had my last day or work, and furthermore will be completely trapped in Oregon, since my parents and sister will be in Pennsylvania till Monday for my grandparents' anniversary.

I'll a little unclear why they want me at orientation anyway, though, given that I am a) not a freshman and b) have already attended the school.

i don't really know why you are supposed to be there the weekend before that. you *can* move in then, but if you want to move in later all you have to do is call the housing office. you don't have to do orientation, it's just that youcare allowed to move in there. call 'em, though. they're nice.

Oh, but think about it, they're all so nice and accomodation by publishing books to help young wayward mormon youth to overcome the Evil!Blasphemous!UrgesofDOOM!

Maybe they even encourage an alternative..like...like nicotine patches, only to overcome the *feelings*, the youths are encouraged to suck carrot sticks or something.

Or, you know, whole carrots.

What?

::nodnod:: whole carrots are the equivalent of the really *big* nicotine patches.
