schmericaI just spent an hour or two browsing books and adding all sorts of stuff to my books-to-read list, and chatting with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
lyra_sena at the same time. At one point in the conversation, after I've just added lots of yummy books to the list, I tell Lyra first that "I really need to read more books taking place in the upper latitudes" and blabbing about Siberia, Arctic and Antarctic, polar exploration, and my special fondness. A few minutes later I have moved on to another topic I find endlessly fascinating: expatriates.
At this point, Lyra is laughing at me, I think, and I stick my tongue out at her.
It does go to show, though: I may have thought I got into it just because of the woobie and the gay and the connections, but due South fandom manages to fulfill even my most obscure kinks!
(In between these topics there was a digression about a completely nonsensical AU I apparently need to write someday. Because the crack, it is SWEET.)
