I'm not sure what's up with me being completely insane this week. I am tempted to blame it on various suspects, but I haven't figured out yet how it can be all their faults at once.

Most likely, it means that there is nothing better than crazy space incest, and that River was not really being molded into an assassin or anything, but into a homing beacon. Because Earth-that-was is really Earth-that-still-is-but-is-really-really-lost and they need her to find it, so that they can come back and live in what is currently Canada, where they will find stockpiles of really good candy. They will also discover huge stockpiles of old porn featuring a), b), c) and d). Also, since it once was Canada, they will find mounties.
