So, this is going around my friends list, and while I found it somewhat frightening, it's also pretty interesting. So:

If there is any question you would like to ask me about any one of my fics, then go ahead! What I meant by a particular line, why I chose that characterisation, what I was listening to as I wrote, what crack I was taking and where you can get some...anything. Anything you might like to know about how I wrote a fic, I shall do my best to answer.

Alternatively, I kind of feel in the mood for the old commentary meme. I did Academies and Sandwich as Aphrodisiac when this was first going around in the spring, but any other stories or flashfictions I'd be willing to examine. Though I remember very very little about the writing process of anything older than a year, year and a half.

In Nutrition and Other Needs, how come Dana went to LA with Dan? Did you just want someone there who knew him, or did it make sense for her to be several billion miles from Casey, or was it something else?

You know, this is actually an excellent question. Also, one I totally thought I had an answer to but now don't. I was going to say that I wrote it that way because Quo Vadimus gave me the implication that it was a package deal, except then yesterday I went and reread the transcript, and there's nothing to suggest that at all. It was totally Dan and Casey. And, see, I had rewatched that episode very recently before I wrote the story, so I don't know if I was thinking that then or if I came up with it since then, but it's very strange.

But, really, I do like having someone there with Dan out there. Both the splitting up all over the country thing and the contrast to how Dan adjusts worked with the mood I was trying to set.
